Management Console / Data Entry In the information age it is a custom to store, backup and send information digitally.

In the information age it is a custom to store, backup and send information digitally. However within the laboratory environment not all testing equipment has this capability to transfer data automatically to a workstation, such as a hardness tester, density meter or durometer. The data from these generic instruments are then excluded from any Laboratory Information Management System, being transferred across networks and stored in a secure database However the Universal Instruments software is the solution to these problems and enables these important features, by allowing easy configuration and data entry tools.

Prescott Instruments’ Labline Universal Instruments package consists of a ‘Management Console’ and ‘Data Entry Application’. The software suite facilitates; the registration of any number of generic instruments, configure predetermined test definitions and transcribe data into an ODBC database.. Both SQL and DB2 databases are supported, with the option of being networkable.

The Universal Instrument design has clean, inviting design layout, with user-friendly menu options. The software modules mirror some key features on the Labline Software;

• Structured compounds and test methods
• Automatic pass/fail result
• Calculable test points
• Supports universal ODBC database connections

Management Console This module is a user management tool with option to register generic instruments, configure test points and manage compounds and test methods in a categorised manner. You can register an unlimited amount of ‘Instruments’, ‘Compounds’ and ‘Test Methods’.

Data Entry Application This is the main application which enables manual data entry of test result data of a specific generic instrument. The user maximum flexibility on all the test result data allowing to add, load, edit, hide and remove results with a right-click.
