Mooneyline MV Variable Speed
In addition to the our standard Mooneyline Mooney Viscometer, is our variable speed option (Mooneyline MV Variable Speed Mooney Viscometer). This can deliver varied speeds up to 20 revolutions per minute (RPM), facilitating extra functionality and efficiently producing accurate data on a variety of elastomeric compounds, thus making it impeccable choice for polymer specialists.
Fundamental is the rotor and die assembly, with the test material placed above and below the rotor, held in placed by pressure controlled platens. The temperature of the dies and the sample contained within are accurately maintained throughout the test by means of microprocessor based PID control system.
The rotor rotates at a constant speed to two revolutions per minute and by means of a precise transducer system located below the die assembly, the torque exerted on the rotor head is measured and recorded within the system data files.
The speed of rotation can be varied from 0.1 to 20 RPM thereby enhancing the range of data that can be calculated during the test. This is a particularly useful function for testing of tyre compounds and polymers.

This Mooney Viscometer in calibration with Labline Software allows a wide range of advanced and standard test to regulate the viscosity of polymers samples at varied speeds and temperatures, in accordance of ASTM D1646.
The measurement of STRESS RELAXATION index of material samples is one important feature that can be achieved and able to perform industry standard tests on a wide range of compounds prior to manufacturing processes including;

It is strongly recommended that samples are prepared with an automatic Volumetric Sample Cutter.
